About Us
This website is the brainchild of Jerry Lynch, Riversdale House, Bishopstown, Cork who began researching the Lynch Family Tree in the 1980’s.
Jerry is a great-grandnephew of an Dochtúir Dómhnall Ó Loingsigh, his direct line coming from Dómhnall’s brother Jerry, who married Ellen Connell.
Jerry and Ellen had a son called Jeremiah (Miah) who married Eily O’Connor and they in turn had a son called Diarmuid (Irish for Jeremiah). Diarmuid married Catherine Healy and they had a son called Jerry (above). Jerry then married Patricia Buckley and they had a son called Jeremy (Jeremiah) who is deceased since 2012, aged 30 years. Therefore Jeremy was 5th generation of Jeremiah’s in this line.
Réidín Lynch, who is a sister of the late Jeremy, is the creator of this website and the compiler and researcher of the information contained within the site.
